Saturday, March 15th

The pups are pounding the pavement with their two legged friends raising funds to help other pets in need of medical care. The Pet Medical Assistance Program (PMAP) is just one of the ways that the Blue Ribbon Charitable Foundation assists pets in need in Indian River County.

This true 5k and a 1k for our older and special pets is located and hosted by the Vero Beach Athletic Club owner Bob Del Vecchio, long time advocate for health and fitness and sponsor of the largely popular radio show “The Happy Hour Yappy Hour” which airs weekly from 4pm to 5:30 pm Thursdays on radio station 97.9 FM.

The 5k is just the beginning of the day and starts at 8:00am. Following the race will be a people and pet health fair to take place beginning at 10:00 am. Vendors of all kinds will be there to show us humans and pets how to live and eat better. Demonstrations of K-9 abilities with obedience and agility will interest all. The Indian River K-9 officers will do a demonstration so we can see how important these mighty dogs are to our community. Live music, food and so much more will be available to brighten the day. Come out, have fun and make a difference.

If you would like to join some of our sponsors such as Dyer Chevrolet, PG Trust, Florida Veterinary League, Blue Ribbon Pet Services & LL Trust, contact Martin Lavander at 772-559-9893, or Dr Sheri Anderson at 970-222-6573.

Join us Saturday, March 15th for a fun day of learning and entertainment.

Location of Mardi Growl is at the Vero Beach Athletic Club located at 2300 5th Avenue next to Parc 24 and Omni Financial.
